How we train

THE PLAN

  1. Now

    Keep training BJJ

Kids carry on with their regular classes. We will also start working HYROX movements into our Strength & Conditioning classes.

  2. November

    Tickets drop, training gets structured

Kids planning to race are encouraged to join at least one Strength & Conditioning class a week and one HYROX workout a week that combines running with the race movements and stations.

  3. Where

    A gym with the equipment

The HYROX workouts need SkiErgs, rowing machines and more. We are hoping to hold them at a gym with that equipment very close to ours, and will confirm as soon as it is set.

  4. Apr 3–4

    Race weekend

Several months to build strength, endurance and familiarity with the format, then we race together in Houston.

Good to know

QUESTIONS

Our training group is built around our own students, so kids keep up their regular BJJ classes alongside the HYROX work. If your child is not a student yet, call us and we will talk it through.

Nothing. This is only an interest list so we can plan the training schedule. Race tickets are bought from HYROX when they are released in November.

8 to 15 on race day, April 3 or 4, 2027. The age groups are 8–9, 10–11, 12–13 and 14–15.

Exact wave and start times are not out yet. We will send the training schedule to everyone on the list as soon as it is set, and structured training starts after tickets drop in November.
